However, unlike typical works of art, industrial design is more down-to-earth. Household electric appliances need to be both beautiful in appearance as well as suitable for use. Industrial design must address user requirements in order to make life easier and more comfortable. As a lifestyle-oriented company, Smartmi hopes to make users' lives the best they can be with its electric appliances. Dr. Su Jun, CEO of Smartmi, said that "A product that touches people is one which people can hardly tear themselves away from, and makes them even want to clutch onto it as they sleep." When it comes to innovation, Smartmi remains steadfast in carrying out people-oriented design, as well as discovering product shortcomings and pain points by utilizing insights gained from keeping people's underlying use requirements in mind. This way, the user experience is gradually improved for every product, and provides users with the joy and pleasure that comes with home appliances also being works of art.
